I haven't heard anything in particular, but I'm happy that we're at the point in time where these discussions are happening at larger and larger scales. Sounds relevant to your thesis work! Would love to hear more about that as well
In early November, the US Congress adopted a new draft law HR 2262, which gives US citizens ( private companies) the right to own resources that they have mined in space, including other planets, asteroids, etc. The only way to get the resources from the space bodies is to destroy them somehow and in such a way a new draft law contradicts the space laws adopted in 1967 which doesn't allow to harm space objects.
